Objective: To observe the clinical effect of small needle knife combined with acupoint embedding in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. Methods: The study subjects were selected patients who came to our hospital due to cervical spondylosis from September 2020 to March 2021. The patients were divided into two groups by random number method. One group was hospitalized with a small needle knife combined with acupoint embedding method, and the other group was treated with a small needle knife alone after admission. Results: A total of 86 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were included in this study. The total effective rate of small needle knife combined with acupoint embedding in the treatment of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy was 90.7%, and the effective rate of the treatment group was 83.7%. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P=0.0372). The cure rate of small needle knife combined with acupoint embedding for the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy was 67.4%, and the cure rate of the small needle knife group was 53.5%. Small needle knife combined with acupoint thread embedding for the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy is more advantageous in improving the recovery rate (P=0.023). The VAS scores of the patients in the small needle knife combined with acupoint embedding group started to be lower than those in the small needle knife treatment group one week after the operation. Within 1 week after surgery, there was no statistical difference in VAS scores between the two groups. At 1 month after surgery, the difference between the two groups was obvious (P=0.0165). Conclusion: The small needle knife combined with acupoint embedding method is an effective treatment method for cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, and the effect is better than that of the small needle knife alone. It is worthy of clinical promotion.
